You could say I hava a broad definition of what is included in the art of painting. The term painting has even been applied as to the way people describe things without even making marks, as in "Painting a vivid picture with colorful words." And so, with my broad brush, I will apply my description to cover the widest possible range of activities, right up to the edge of the frame bordering photography and writing.

A painting is sort of like a bitmap and a vector, a wave and a particle.

Here are some pictures I have made. One is made with paint, the rest are computer files. The files may one day be realized in pigment, just as the painting has been recorded as a computer file.
